We absolutely loved our stay at the Alcaston House - it felt like we were in an apartment in Paris! The outlook is stunning - onto the museum and having Fitzroy Gardens just across the road was great for a morning stroll. The location is perfect to easily walk to CBD's restaurants and bars. The tram stop right outside was great for travelling all around the city and to outer suburbs. The apartment itself was immaculate - we loved all of the little details. It's eclectic decor was very stylish and all the amenities were great! It looks exactly like the pictures and is even much more spacious than they show. We couldn't fault this place at all - if you're looking for a memorable stay in the heart of Melbourne look no further than this charming apartment

The facilities in the room are very comprehensive and it's very easy to get around. The decoration of the room is very distinctive. Lisa and Peter are very friendly, thank you! It's very near to the Olympic Park, it's very convenient to go to the Rod laver Arena. It's a good choice for the coming Australian Open. Believe me, it's a very very good choice, I will be back again. Thank you.

Accommodation you want to cherish A place to stay as a resident for a moment at the historic and architecturally important Alcaston House, an apartment built between 1929 and 30. Located on the east side of the CBD, in an elegant cityscape called Paris End, the best location for shopping on Collins Street and picnic in beautiful gardens right in front of you. Elegant architecture, sighing interiors, unique furnishings ... Even in the CBD, where there are many fashionable cafes and gourmet restaurants, this is a beautiful and relaxing room where people often think "Let's spend time in a room with a takeaway." It should be noted that not only the appearance but also the facilities are perfect. When I open the kitchen door ASKO's dishwasher and washing machine are installed. Cooking utensils, seasonings, plates and cutlery, wine glasses, beautiful tea cups, and many more that are perfect for cooking ingredients purchased at the market. And bathroom with air conditioning! Thanks to Peter and Lisa for their compassion for travelers! I stayed at various hotels in this price range, but it is definitely the best. If it's a more budget-friendly trip, choose Alcastone House.

In summary it is value for money and I would and will stay there again if available. The location is great, near everything in the CBD or a tram away (tram stop less than 50m away). The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, even if we didn't use them (utensils, furniture, toiletries and pantry items). We really liked the interior design (I suppose you call it bohemian). This was not a problem for us, but if I was being fussy (constructively), the bed is a double or a queen and I am used to a king. Overall....very happy.
